Becoming An Illustrator: A Visual Journey
Date

Location

Click on an image for the story behind these images. This gallery is a personal record of my journey as an artist, spanning from my early drawings at 15, to my current work in digital illustration. It includes student work from high school and college, studies from the Art Institute of Colorado and drawings created during my recovery from brain surgery - a period that reshaped how I saw and related to my art.
These pieces are not polished or commercial. They are the foundation of everything that followed - the practice, the struggle, the learning, the rebuilding and the rediscovery of voice. They also include work from my studies with an instructor out of India, Kesh.com, whose instruction helped me deepen my sense of form, depth, and storytelling, ultimately guiding me into digital illustration and develop my current style.
This gallery is a visual journal of becoming - a record of where I started and what shaped me and how I've grown into the illustrator I am today.
